This command assumes a POSIX shell which removes the single quotes around your string (which have been added to prevent variable interpolation when substituting a `$` in the example). So if you are running a non-POSIX shell you might want to run `echo -n 'MySecretPassword'` to check what is passed and remove the single quotes accordingly.
### Using the generated PHC string
Use the generated PHC string as admin token in your environment variable or by passing it the docker/podman CLI command. For `docker-compose.yml` files follow the instructions below.
